Welcome!!!

Welcome to our English Class at Don Bosco for the 2013-2014 school year.

Together we can make this a successful year of learning and growth. The students’ success depends upon the cooperation and teamwork between the teacher, the student, and the parent.

To reach our goals, it is imperative that we are supportive of each other and work as a true TEAM!

Although this class tends to be fun and exciting for most students, it is a very hard course that requires lots of work and study. But, at the same time, it is a very pleasant way for students to learn about another culture and another language.

Rules (Les règles)

In order to have a positive classroom climate where everyone can be successful we do have some guidelines to follow:

1. Keep a positive attitude about the language. It is normal to get frustrated and confused. Learning a new language takes time and practice. Think of all of the years you've spent studying French!

2. Always respect each other for trying, regardless of accuracy.

3. Keep up daily. It is much more effective to study little bits at a time than to try to cram before a test.

4. Keep an open mind about other cultures. There is a fascinating world out there ready for us to explore!

5. Please be respectful of our time together and do not work on other teacher's assignments during class.

6. Come to class prepared.

7. Feel free to talk to me at any time if you have any concerns or questions. I am here to help you learn.

8. Please do not eat or chew gum!
